Take 5

Just a completely random list of things that I'm loving right now!

1.  the Skimm
I've been a Skimm-er for 7 months now and it's become a solid part of my morning routine.  The Skimm will get you up to speed on what's going on in the world each day in a fun and quick way.  Try it out and be in the know!  The Skimm team is  also fun to follow on Instagram and Facebook.  They also have some super cool guides that teach you about everything from Bitcoin to Fracking to Terror Groups.

2. Go Columbia
The State has a new and free way to get the scoop on what's going on in Columbia.  You can find the printed version near the Free Times around town or online.  Grab your calendar, plan a trip, and explore Columbia.  No more excuses for not knowing what's happening around town.

3. Unroll.Me
Got lots of junk email?  No time to go through the "unsubscribe" process for unwanted emails that you somehow got subscribed to?  Just go to Unroll.Me, enter your email address, and be amazed.  The website will give you a list of email subscriptions and you can choose to unsubscribe to as many as you want all at once.  I do this a few times a year to keep my inbox current and clutter free.  #YouAreWelcome

4.  Facebook Save
Have you ever been in the position of finding a post, article, recipe, or video that you don't have time to open or read while you're browsing through your Facebook newsfeed?  Have you ever done this:

Facebook is all kinds of clever and now has an option to save content in one place so you don't have to scroll back through your posts or share something to "bookmark" it that you really don't want to share with friends.  Apparently this was launched last summer, but I don't think a lot of people know about it.

Here is how you do it:

Click the little gray arrow beside the profile name within the post that you want to save and choose "Save Link."

To find the posts/links that you've saved, go to the "More" option at the bottom of the mobile Facebook page.  Scroll Down to "Saved" and there are all of your saved links!

5.  Real Simple Podcast- "Things Cooks Know"
I mentioned Podcasts in the last Take 5, but this particular one is worth singling out.  I realize a 20 minute podcast about eggs or broth may not tickle everyone's fancy, but if you like to cook, check it out!

So what's the verdict?  Have you tried any of these or have some to add?  Let us all know in the comment section!
